Abstract
This paper presents an analysis of object buried in soil by using matrix pencil method. To analyze the object, simulations are performed through CST microwave studio. In simulations, the plane wave is transmitted to incident to an object buried in the soil. The late-time portion of a transient response scattered from the object is used to extract poles by using matrix pencil method. The pole group obtained from extraction of transient response of an object scenario of object is compared with that of an object in free space. The objects with different shapes are also considered. Moreover, we investigate the effect on poles of soil characteristic.
