  • Abstract
In the high frequency electromagnetic field analysis using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD), the perfectly matched layer (PML) is often adopted to implement the absorbing boundary condition (ABC). However, it requires much computation time to get enough accuracy of analysis with sufficiently small reflection. In order to overcome such a difficulty, this paper describes a novel technique that combines the constrained interpolation profile (CIP) method with the FDTD method to solve problems faster. As a result of analysis of a typical model of differential transmission line, the computation time could be reduced to 60% compared with the FDTD method with the ordinary PML.
