Abstract
This correspondence is concerned with the analysis of the general phase-locked loop in which the received signal is frequency modulated by a process modeled as random noise filtered by a low-pass filter, together with additive stationary noise. The approximate solution by Fokker-Planck techniques is discussed as the near-threshold problem of an
