Accountability for Perfection

Accountability could play a much bigger role in getting software producers to implement systems that are more secure and as an alternative to prevention for defending against attacks. Accountability, however, requires attribution of action. Current system development processes are weak here, as are our system designs. In both settings, forensics is key for supporting accountability.
