Abstract :
The first use of two sensitive spectral interferometric techniques for the complete intensity and phase characterisation of high-data rate optical pulse trains with low average power is demonstrated. The pulses are reconstructed either by Fourier-transform or dual-quadrature spectral interferometry after characterisation of an amplified reference pulse by frequency-resolved optical gating.
