Abstract :
In Gao and Nallanathan (IEEE Signal Process. Lett., vol.13, no.2, p.73-6, Feb. 2006), a polynomial rooting-based carrier frequency offset (CFO) estimator for OFDM systems was proposed. It is essentially based on the idea of rooting the first-order derivative of the cost function derived in Liu and Tureli (1998). We discuss the connection of this work with some earlier work in the literature (Attallah, 2004)
