Abstract :
Describes a new method for partitioning a high-order all-pole filter into an interconnection of subsystems. It was found that conventional all-cascade and all-parallel implementations were unsuitable for reasons that are outlined, and that the theory of filter implementations could be enhanced by appealing to polynomial theory.
