Abstract :
Laser oscillation in an Nd:MgO:LiNbO3 single-mode channel waveguide has been demonstrated. Under IR dye laser pumping, a threshold of 1.5 mW and a slope efficiency of 14% were achieved. Laser oscillation has also been observed with diode pumping.
