Chances and challenges confronting securities industry and the countermeasures in big data and cloud computing era

Along with the more and more application of big data mining based on cloud computing in economic life worldwidely, it has also brought revolution to securities industry. This paper firstly reviews the relevant studies on big data, cloud computing and their applications in securities industry, then with the SWOT analysis method, illustrates the strength of big data mining along with the chances it has brought to securities industry, as well as its inherent weakness and challenges facing with securities industry. Then it investigates the status quo and puts forward the related countermeasures for domestic securities industry to develop big data mining. Finally it summarizes the research and proposes outlooks.
