Abstract :
Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a self-configuring network, composed of several movable user equipment forming temporary network without using any fixed infrastructure. Based on cluster head technique MANET is divided into clusters where each cluster consists of its independent cluster head which is connected through other cluster heads. The proposed technique for cluster head selection is based on fuzzy logic using three parameters such as node degree, goodness factor and competent level. The proposed protocol improves the performance of the network, minimizes the re-election time of cluster head and reduces the overhead over the network.
