Abstract :
The propagation of waves in uniform, unbounded plasmas is reviewed. Emphasis is placed on describing the various approaches and plasma models which may be used. The results and limitations of the different methods are discussed and compared. Dispersion curves for the different models are presented in the form of ¿-k plots.
