Abstract :
A system of secure digital audio conferencing is described where deaf speech does not appear at the conference bridge. Previous systems are restricted to linear speech coding or provide local bridging. The system requires a memoryless (in time, e.g. PCM, or frequency, e.g. SBC) speech encoding technique, a linear scrambling operation on the sampled speech waveforms, and synchronisation among speech samples to be encoded
