Abstract :
The author describes a new method to correct for gain and phase imbalances in LINC (linear amplification with nonlinear components) transmitters. A direct-search scheme is used to adjust gain and phase in one amplifier branch, guided by the measured output signal in adjacent channels. The functionality of the method has been verified by means of simulation
