Abstract :
The fame of Bell Labs still endures even though the organization has now, under telecom divestiture and company divisions, declined to a shadow of its former self. Its fame stems largely from the memory and recognition of the remarkable contributions to global communications and U.S. national welfare it made during its heyday.
