Abstract
Financial institutions (FIs) in Latin America (LATAM) have been facing intensive software platform renewals as well as new installations to support new lines of business. CIOs have coped with sophisticated selection processes, ultimately having to decide among various local, regional, or global vendors. Throughout this process, the IT and business departments must understand clearly how the vendor works internally when it comes to product evolution. Here, the author highlights several considerations FIs must consider when evaluating vendors.
