Abstract :
Interactive computer graphics visualization allows simulation of craniofacial procedures before surgical intervention. Two simulation modes are currently available: physical replicas created with CT data applied to numerically controlled milling machines or stereolithography machines; and 3D graphical images created from tomographic data. The validity of graphically rendered CT or MR scanned images is carefully measured by simulating craniofacial surgical procedures and testing each step in the process
