Abstract :
The design of an inductively coupled coil for transcutaneous energy transmission over the wide range of electrical power from 1 mW to 20 W is described. The implantable coils with amorphous wires have features such as: thin and flexible shape, a low temperature rise of 3 degrees in the case of the transmission of 20 watts. The coils were applied to an artificial heart system and a functional electrical stimulation system.<>
