Abstract :
An LC simulation-type RC-active filter with all-pole lowpass characteristics is presented. The drawbacks of active RC filters using FDNRs or the equivalent inductor using GICs are overcome by introducing a new prototype LC filter. A synthesis procedure of the new prototype LC filter, is presented and is followed by realisation of the equivalent inductor using GICs. Finally, a fifth-order Chebyshev lowpass filter is designed in this manner, and its characteristics are measured. The low element sensitivity property of the proposed filter is confirmed by a computer
