Abstract :
A new video service system characterized by specific shot designation using the Mahalanobis distance at high fitting rate was built based on segmented motion vector magnitudes on each block of video frames, and inter-block correlations for making a decision logically. The specific shots can be designated real time from the live video stream of baseball games utilizing the DSP applied to the Mahalanobis distance generation as well as that which was applied to the motion vector calculus. This video service system was applied to live video of baseball games.
