Abstract
The work presents an overview of a color imaging system and its elements and then highlights techniques in the literature that attempt to account for system interactions for improved quality or performance. After that, presented in greater detail, are two specific examples of approaches that take into account interactions between elements that are normally treated independently. Finally, concluding remarks are presented.
