            Abstract :
Radiation of wire antenna structures in the vicinity of conducting surfaces is analysed using an entire-domain Galerkin formulation. A method is developed for modelling those conducting surfaces by interconnected rectangular plates. The singular integrals involved in the matrix elements due to the junctions between the plates are treated by a new series of coordinate transformations and evaluated with the aid of specially constructed quadrature formulas. Numerical results are presented for surface currents on the reflectors and for driving-point impedances and radiation patterns of the antennas. Several problems with different configurations are solved. Results show good agreement with those obtained by other methods.
