Abstract :
Stabilization strategy to keep the constant shaft speed of a machine in the transient state requires fast and accurate detection of a minimum two quantities, speed deviation and acceleration of the shaft. The detection is generally made by substituting ``difference operation´´ for ``differential one´´. Moreover, random noise caused by the shaft vibration, frequency fluctuation of electrical system and so on has to be reduced as much as possible, and detecting device is also required to be compatible with the control system designed for constant rotor speed. This paper presents a new digital detecting device sufficiently satisfying these requirements.
