Abstract :
This paper proposes a surface mount device-based negative temperature coefficient thermistor as an electromagnetic compatibility protection element for semiconductor bridge (SCB) explosive devices. Because of the small size, it can be integrated into the ceramic housing of the SCB without increasing packaging size and affecting normal firing conditions of SCB. This paper demonstrates the usefulness of the protective method by firing experiments, temperature measurements, and RF sensitivity tests.
