  • Abstract
Three-dimensional reconstruction of objects with smooth surface has poor results. In this paper, a method of the online rail profile with smooth surface based on Fourier Transform Profilometry (FTP) is put forward. After analyzing the reflective polarization, phong illumination model and FTP method, the online rail shape with smooth surface are reconstructed, after eliminating the highlight region by polarizers. Experiments are conducted and results prove that the methods can effectively eliminate the highlight on the rail surface, get the height and phase information of the object accurately, and reconstruct the three dimensional shape of online rail with specular surface, offering another noncontact thought and method for flaw detection on the online rail.
