Abstract
The development and optimization of set-up unit for torch discharge ignition and combustion is both hard and important task since it requires investigation of plasma torch in wide frequency range. The problem is reduced to the development of the measuring method for torch discharge active resistance. Proposed method allows one to determine the active resistance value of torch discharge with the power up to 1 kW in wide frequency range using the measurements of minimal oscillator power required for plasma burning at two different frequencies. The dependence of required power on frequency, expressions for the estimated torch discharge parameters and their comparison for different cases are also given. Frequency band where expressions are valid is determined. Proposed method essentially simplifies getting results by reducing the cost and complexity of measuring system.
