Abstract :
Icing is one of the most dangerous meteorological phenomena in civil aviation. The best icing protection method is to prevent it formation. To do this, the pilot needs information about a zone of probable icing on the route of the aircraft flight. This information can be obtained using of airborne polarimetric radar data. This paper deals with the modeling and analysis of experimental data, synthesis of parametric algorithm for detection of the probable aircraft icing areas and the estimation of its effectiveness.
