NO SELF-RESPECTING, whizzy Web 2.0 companywould dare to produce an applicationwithout it, but the programming techniques that drivemany of Google??smost popular online applications ?? and sites such as Facebook, Flickr, Frappr and a host of otherswithmissing vowels in their names ?? are being used by enterprise and other developers to give their applicationsmore flexibility. AJAX is not a product, nor even a language; it simply is the name given to a set of programming techniques that combine scripts running on a browser with server code to buildmore interactivewebsites and distributed applications.
