Abstract :
The goal of the SEMEY project is to create a simple electric system that shows behavior similar to epileptic seizures, as recorded by the electroencephalogram (EEG). Components discussed include the RC black box, the capacitor model, the neuronions model, the array model and computer simulation. As a Java applet shows, even though the model is simple, similar behavior to real epilepsy is observable. The hope is that, by analyzing the simple electric system, new ideas for understanding and treating epilepsy will arise
