Abstract :
We show that a fiber Bragg grating filter improves the bit-error-rate (BER) performance of a semiconductor-optical-amplifier for return-to-zero (RZ) wavelength conversion. A 14-dB reduction in power penalty was obtained at 10.6 Gb/s.
