Abstract :
Application of an H2 optimal adaptive control algorithm as a power system stabilizer is described in this paper. The algorithm deals with disturbance attenuation in the sense of H2 norm for nonlinear systems. Results of simulation and experimental studies suggest that the H2 optimal control algorithm could be successfully used for the control of nonlinear systems such as synchronous generators
