Abstract :
The authors propose a new cyclic structure for a CMOS time-to-digital converter (TDC). The measured single-shot resolution is 286 ps, and the measured single-shot accuracy is <143 ps. The new circuit can be shut down between measurements which makes the circuit suitable for portable applications
