Abstract :
This article presents an overview of switching regulated DC-DC power convertor electromagnetic interference problems and possible solutions, with special emphasis on power line conducted emissions and power line input filters. Potential stability and performance problems that can be caused by the interaction between the power line input filter and the switching regulator are discussed in detail. Candidate damped input filter structures are presented, along with a general input filter design strategy and a detailed design procedure for one of the candidate configurations
