Abstract :
A resettable overcurrent protective device has been developed for padmounted switchgear packages. A low-Curie-temperature alloy and permanent magnet latch provide a simple, direct sensing and tripping means. Electromagnetic trip action at high fault currents causes two-cycle interruption to be attainable with the vacuum bottle and spring actuated mechanism. Linkage can be incorporated to provide three-phase tripping with single-phase fault detection
