Abstract :
It is important to analyze the characteristics of magnetic flux and eddy current on the inner part of an electric machine in order to raise the efficiency of the machine. In general, characteristics of those are investigated using numerical analysis. In this study, we present a novel measuring method of eddy currents on the surface of the sheet iron using a search needle. As the applying model of the measuring method, we have used an eddy current brake that is a new assistance brake system for large sized vehicles
