Abstract :
The beam of traditional phased-array radar is steered in a fixed direction, while FDA radar employs a small frequency increment across the array element, which results in range-angle dependent beam steering feature. In this paper, the receive beampattern of pulse-Doppler frequency diverse array (FDA) radar is explored. Because of the rangeangle dependent characteristic of the receiving beamforming, it is more flexible in FDA radar to control the beam steering. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
