Abstract :
Decoding of linear unequal error protection (LUEP) codes using soft-combining is presented. Codewords are repeated and combined until the desired reliability is obtained. The decoding is performed in the spectral domain, offering reduced implementation complexity. Simulations show a significant performance improvement with soft-combining compared to soft decision decoding
