Abstract :
In this report, we present THz wireless communications using photonically generated 300-GHz carrier signals with an output power of more than 1 mW. We have examined two approaches to increasing the output power; one is to use a photodiode array, and the other is to use a frequency multiplier. We have demonstrated an error-free transmission at data rates of 30 Gbit/s and 20 Gbit/s with a photodiode array and a frequency multiplier, respectively.
