Abstract :
The numerical method is presented in the paper to solve the problem of backscattering from ocean surface illuminated by a large incident beam. The method, using narrow beams to construct a large beam, can independently calculates the backscattering field illuminated by narrow beams to effectively decrease memory required and executed time. Scattering experiments from one dimensional ocean like surface at a wavetank facility at moderate and low grazing angles in absence of wind are described. The results of beam scattering based on integral equation model (IEM) are compared with experimental measurements at wavetank at Ku-band.
