Abstract
The application of the Taylor series approach is considered for the analysis and estimation of the unknown parameters of nonlinear systems. The approach uses Taylor series expansions and the least-squares method as well as the operational property of the Kronecker product. Direct and efficient computational algorithms, which are convenient and adaptable to digital programming, are developed. As a result, computing labor and storage can be greatly saved. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the superiority of the currently proposed method over other techniques
