Abstract :
Word synchronisation can be achieved by using coset codes derived from cyclic redundancy check (CRC) codes. Approaching the problem of synchronisation with the view that a coset codeword should exist uniquely in an observation block, coset codes are presented that have maximum capability in terms of synch-correction range
