Abstract :
This paper describes the construction and use of `modified Taylor diagrams´ and, as an example use, compares four ionospheric models. The example use is an extension of the work carried out by McNamara et al. [1], and serves to highlight the advantages of using such diagrams to compare ionospheric models. Modified Taylor diagrams provide an easy way of visualizing and comparing statistical information about a number of models, and for multiple parameters, simultaneously. Using modified Taylor diagrams has led to new conclusions about the models tested in [1].
