Abstract
A novel vertical coupler used as a wavelength multiplexer with separated input and output waveguides is demonstrated. The wafer fusion technique enables both frontside and backside processing of the thin epitaxial films. A vertical coupler with a 4 mm interaction region demonstrates 20 nm wavelength spacing
