Abstract :
Continuous research and developement have been carried out on cable components, accessories, technology of manufacture and installation, and system design. Complete cable systems are now available for carrying large currents at the highest transmission voltages, and the field of application has been extended to cover both a.c. and d.c. long submarine connections
