The last two or three years has seen a much greater use of flat cable and connection systems as reduction in assembly time and consequent cost savings, together with proven reliability, have become more and more important. In these days of rising labour costs, any process that can decrease the labour content and therefore the total cost of an assembly must be studied carefully.
