Approaches to design

Future approaches to design will depend, above all, on the designers. They will continue to suffer constraints, old and new; and the requirements placed on them will change. Success will ensue from their ability to respond to these factors, and this, in turn, will depend on their knowledge, their adaptability, their response to challenge and their ability to meet and overcome the economic, social and managerial problems which surround them as well as those of function, feasibility and financial viability.
