Abstract :
A new design of a Fabry-Perot etalon for reducing temperature dependence is proposed and demonstrated. An experiment using a 60-μm-thick etalon with a 13-nm free-spectral range at 1550-nm wavelength showed that the wavelength at resonance observed in the transmission spectrum was very stable and stayed within a range of 0.02 nm over a temperature range from 5/spl deg/C to 85/spl deg/C.
