Midyear Review [President's Column]

I must say that this job, president of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S), is indeed one that keeps a person busy! It´s challenging, exciting, and somewhat enervating, but to me, it is the best job I have ever had. When I was the chair of the MTT-S Technical Coordinat ing Committee (TCC), you probably remember the same statement from me. Well, up to that point, it was true, but this presidential gig is even better. Philosophically, I´m a believer in the very global nature of our profession, and as MTT-S president, I have the opportunity to reach out everywhere, help and counsel everywhere, and learn from everywhere!
