Abstract :
The `Carabian conundrum¿ is a fictitious case study in three parts based on a live automation contract. Each chapter will concern itself with a particular phase of project management. In particular, the firm´s response to different situations will be described. We are asking you to be involved-to analyse the situation and propose action which you believe the firm should have taken based on your experience. A selection of responses will be printed in a future edition. Remember, a case study only presents a situation, it does not suggest that methods adopted are correct or incorrect. Its use is to promote discussion (in our situation through the medium of Electronics & Power) and through discussion we may learn. In the space allocated it is impossible todescribe the full extent of the situation. It is up to the reader to fill in the gaps and make appropriate assumptions. If you feel you have something to offer, please respond to David Overton at theaddress shown below
