Abstract :
IN THE UK and Europe, conservatism dominates investment and product buying in IT. In the UK, a technology has to prove itself in order to be a success, which is right and proper, but frustrating for the technology companies. In the United States it is a different story. Venture capitalists and CIOs alike are more than willing to back home-grown technologies.
