Abstract
The Generalised Frequency Response Functions (GFRFs) are important tools for the analysis of nonlinear systems based on the Volterra series approach. A new algorithm for extracting the GFRFs from a nonlinear difference equation model is proposed in this paper. The advantage of the new method over available techniques is that the new method determines the GFRFs using a numerical procedure based on the solution to Diophantine equations. This allows a considerable reduction of computation efforts.
